What the Lucydreamer Does
We created the Lucydreamer as a dry/wet overdrive that blends expressive dynamics with modern flexibility.
It offers:
A Mix control to blend clean and overdriven signals
A high-gain-stage footswitch that leaves the clean level untouched
An internal trimmer to set the high-gain output level
The Lucydreamer responds to every nuance of your playing, from tube-amp-like breakup to full-bodied saturation, all while maintaining chord clarity and letting more low end through than typical overdrives.
Voiced with a slight mid-hump and powered by our “secret” chip, it works beautifully on its own or paired with an already overdriven amp.
About the “Achenbach Series”:
John Achenbach is a Storyboard Artist and Animation Professional with a long history on the legendary show “The Simpsons” and a guitarist/musician. The “Achenbach Series” is the result of a loving friendship that has developed through the years out of mutual respect for what each of us does!
Here’s a little insider’s look into his process for coming up with his designs, using the “Achenbach Series” Tubedreamer as an example:
