What the Wahcko Does

The Wahcko is JAM Pedals’ premium, ultra‑expressive wah pedal—vocal, versatile, and built for nuance. It features a buffer‑less proprietary circuit, allowing impedance‑sensitive pedals (like germanium fuzz) to be placed after without tone loss  .

Key Features:

  • RED Fasel inductor and Carbon‑Comp resistors for that classic, organic sweep

  • 6‑position rotary switch to select different frequency sweep ranges—tailor your wah voice for funk, rock, blues, and more

  • Internal input gain trimmer for dialing in signal sensitivity based on your guitar and setup

  • Mini LED indicator and true‑bypass silent footswitch for reliable, noise‑free operation (note: battery not included—powered only via adaptor)

Why it’s special:

  • Pro guitar-ready versatility: Six sweep settings plus gain trim let players sculpt their tone precisely.

  • Seamless integration: The buffer-less design ensures it won’t disrupt fuzz and vintage circuits downstream.

  • Stage-ready durability: True-bypass switching and LED feedback make it dependable for live use.

About the “Achenbach Series”:

John Achenbach is a Storyboard Artist and Animation Professional with a long history on the legendary show “The Simpsons” and a guitarist/musician. The “Achenbach Series” is the result of a loving friendship that has developed through the years out of mutual respect for what each of us does!

Here’s a short video of him talking about the story behind our collaboration:

Here’s a little insider’s look into his process for coming up with his designs, using the “Achenbach Series” Tubedreamer as an example:

“You just can’t beat nature. For inspiration, I researched the first amplifier tubes to design a JAM pedals character and found this Fleming tube from 1904. Then a friend recently posted a real pic of a virus under an electron microscope. Damn.. that’s freaky.” John Achenbach
